The Story behind the books

Until 2014, Sangama: (Novela de la selva amazónica) by Arturo D. Hernández was a treasure of the Amazon that only the locals knew about. It was used in schools in Peru to teach students about their cultural heritage, but its once-illustrious international reputation had faded by the last quarter of the twentieth century.

Arturo D. Hernández is the author of four books, some of which had been translated and published to great acclaim in French and German, but none had ever been available in English. Quaestor Press contacted Hernández’s family and obtained a contract for worldwide publishing rights in English on all of his works.
